You’re invited to take part in all three matches at the Aiming For Zero Celebrating Our Heroes event —
and the best part? You can shoot each one as many times as you’d like!
Just remember: each entry requires a separate registration.

Metal Madness

  • a Metal Madness matches consist of 50 targets spread across 10 lanes of five targets each.
  • Each lane will have four 12″x12″ square targets and one 12″ round target serving as the stop plate. The square targets are numbered 1 -4 with each lane having a unique placement of the numbered square targets and a round stop plate.
  • With more than 60,000 different combinations, it’s impossible to completely master the game.
  • Scoring is time based, plus penalties for missed targets or shooting targets out of numerical sequence, with missed targets adding 3 seconds to your time. The eight fastest times from ten lanes fired are added together for each shooter’s bracket time.

Hitting plates in the proper order is extremely important! To put up a top score in Metal Madness, you must have tremendous speed and accuracy skills.

*This match is .22 rimfire only event which welcomes any type of .22 rimfire firearm and sight combination!

Metal Madness Unlimited

  • Metal Madness Unlimited matches consist of 50 targets spread across 10 lanes of five targets each.
  • Each lane will have four 12″x12″ square targets and one 12″ round target serving as the stop plate. The square targets are numbered 1 -4 with each lane having a unique placement of the numbered square targets and a round stop plate.
  • With more than 60,000 different combinations, it’s impossible to completely master the game.
  • Scoring is time based, plus penalties for missed targets or shooting targets out of numerical sequence, with missed targets adding 3 seconds to your time. The eight fastest times from ten lanes fired are added together for each shooter’s bracket time.

*This match is allows rimfire and centerfire firearms up to .45 ACP and welcomes any type of firearm and sight combination!

Bowling Pin Shoot

  • The Bowling Pin Shoot is limited to centerfire firearms only, and participants may compete using Stock or Open Pistol or Revolver firearms.
  • The match will take place across five bays, each featuring two shooting stations. At each station, shooters will face a table set with five bowling pins and have 30 seconds to clear the table. One reload is allowed per station, with a maximum of 10 rounds.
  • A 3-second penalty will be assessed for any pins left standing or knocked down but not cleared from the table. If the table is not cleared within 30 seconds, the shooter will receive a default time of 30 seconds for that table. To calculate the final score, a shooter’s highest (worst) time from one bay — a total of two tables — will be dropped, and the times from the remaining four bays will be combined.

Top performers will be awarded one of four Ruger firearms, there are two each of the Ruger 1911 Lite chambered in .45 ACP and the Ruger GP100 chambered in .357 Magnum.
