Partnership & Progress

At Aiming For Zero, we believe that preventing veteran suicide begins with creating opportunities for connection, purpose, and belonging. Every veteran deserves access to a supportive community that understands the unique challenges of military service and provides pathways toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.

That is why we are proud to announce a $10,000 donation to Ruck-Up, Inc., a veteran-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing veterans, service members, first responders, and their families together through physical activity, shared experiences, and community engagement.

The donation was presented during the recent Aiming For Zero Falling Steel Match hosted at the SIG SAUER Academy, where participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters came together not only to enjoy a weekend of competition and camaraderie but also to learn about organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans throughout New England.

Building Connections One Step at a Time

Ruck-Up, Inc. leverages the concept of "rucking"—walking while carrying a weighted backpack—as a vehicle for building community, improving physical wellness, and fostering peer-to-peer support. The organization organizes ruck marches, fitness events, community gatherings, and outreach initiatives that encourage veterans and their families to stay active while developing meaningful relationships with others who share similar experiences. Rucking has long been associated with military culture and serves as a powerful way to combine physical activity with conversation, mentorship, and fellowship.

Through its programs, Ruck-Up creates welcoming environments where veterans can reconnect with a sense of purpose, strengthen social bonds, and combat the isolation that too often contributes to mental health struggles.

Advancing Our Shared Mission

At Aiming For Zero, we recognize that no single organization can solve the challenges facing veterans alone. Meaningful impact occurs when organizations work together to strengthen the network of support available to those who have served.

The work being done by Ruck-Up aligns closely with our belief that camaraderie, connection, and community are essential components of veteran suicide prevention. By bringing people together through shared experiences and encouraging healthy lifestyles, Ruck-Up helps veterans build lasting relationships and support systems that extend far beyond a single event.

Our $10,000 contribution will help support their ongoing programs, expand outreach efforts, and create additional opportunities for veterans and their families to engage with a community that understands and supports them.

Thank You to Our Supporters

This donation would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, participants, donors, and volunteers. Every registration, sponsorship, raffle ticket, and contribution helps us further our mission of preventing veteran suicide and supporting organizations that are creating positive change in the veteran community.

Together, we are building stronger communities, creating meaningful connections, and ensuring that veterans know they are never alone.
