At Aiming For Zero, we believe that awareness is only the beginning. Real impact happens when awareness turns into action—and action is fueled by connection.

That belief came to life at our recent Aiming For Zero Metal Madness Airsoft matches, a veteran suicide prevention event designed to bring people together through shared experience and purpose.

A Community That Shows Up

To everyone who showed up, supported, competed, volunteered, and stood alongside us—thank you.

Because of you, this charity shooting competition was more than a success. It was a powerful demonstration of what happens when a community rallies around a mission bigger than itself.

Your presence mattered.
Your support made an impact.
And your commitment to our veterans means everything.

This is how we move closer to zero—together.

More Than a Match

From the outside, Metal Madness looks like a fast-paced shooting competition charity event. But what defines it is what happens beyond the stages.

It’s in the coaching.
It’s in the conversations.
It’s in the shared experience.

Throughout the event, we saw:

  • Experienced shooters mentoring newer participants
  • Veterans reconnecting with a supportive community
  • Families engaging in meaningful ways

These are the moments that matter most.

Because veteran suicide prevention begins with connection—not isolation.

Breaking Isolation Through Community

One of the greatest challenges facing veterans today is isolation.

The transition from military service can create gaps:

  • Loss of structure
  • Loss of identity
  • Loss of connection

Events like Metal Madness are designed to rebuild those connections through veteran community support.

They create an environment where:

  • Conversations happen naturally
  • Trust is built organically
  • Veterans feel seen, understood, and supported

This is where real impact begins.

The Power of Showing Up

Every individual who attended played a role in something bigger than themselves.

Whether you:

  • Competed in the match
  • Volunteered your time
  • Supported as a sponsor
  • Or came to be part of the mission

You helped strengthen a growing network focused on veteran mental health awareness and support.

And that network saves lives.

Gratitude That Fuels the Mission

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this event possible.

Your support allows Aiming For Zero to continue hosting impactful events that create connection, strengthen community, and provide support to veterans and their families.

Your support for our veterans means everything.

Looking Ahead

We don’t measure success solely by scores or standings.

We measure it by:

  • The conversations started
  • The connections formed
  • The lives impacted

And by that measure, Metal Madness was a success.

But we’re not done.

We will continue expanding our reach, building stronger communities, and creating more opportunities for connection.

Because the mission remains clear:

Aiming For Zero.

Together.

You can still get involved

Couldn’t attend but want to support? You still can:

  • Donate Now: Every dollar makes a difference in a veteran’s life.

  • Volunteer for future events and make an impact on the ground.

  • Spread the Word by following us on social media and sharing our mission.

With gratitude,
The Aiming For Zero Team

We are a nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran suicide by raising awareness, fostering camaraderie, and building support through community events and shooting sports. Every fundraiser and match helps connect veterans with the resources they need—and reminds them they are never alone
