Community, Camaraderie, and Purpose at SIG SAUER Academy

Aiming For Zero Falling Steel 2025: Spring Edition
May 29–31, 2026
SIG SAUER ACADEMY
Epping, NH

From May 29–31, competitors, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters gathered at the SIG SAUER ACADEMY in Epping, New Hampshire, for the 2026 Aiming For Zero Falling Steel Match. While the weather presented its share of challenges, it did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm, generosity, and sense of purpose that defined the event.

The match brought together members of the military, law enforcement, and shooting communities for three days of competition, camaraderie, and connection—all in support of a mission that extends far beyond the firing line: preventing veteran suicide through community, awareness, and meaningful engagement.

Turning Participation into Impact

At Aiming For Zero, every event serves a greater purpose. Through the incredible generosity of our sponsors, participants, donors, volunteers, and supporters, this year's event generated approximately $30,000 that was distributed directly to organizations dedicated to improving the lives of veterans and their families.

We are proud to announce the following organizations each received a $10,000 donation to support and expand their missions:

Easterseals NHMilitary & Veterans Campus

Travis Mills Foundation

Ruck-Up, Inc.

These organizations provide critical services, recovery programs, peer support, community engagement opportunities, and resources that help veterans and their families navigate the unique challenges that can accompany military service.

More Than a Match

Throughout the weekend, attendees had the opportunity to meet representatives from each organization, learn about their programs, and gain a deeper understanding of the resources available to veterans throughout New England.

This direct connection between veterans, supporters, and service organizations is one of the most important aspects of what we do. Awareness creates opportunity. Opportunity creates connection. And connection can save lives.

When veterans know where to turn for support, when families understand the resources available to them, and when communities come together around a common purpose, we strengthen the support network that every veteran deserves.

Partnership That Makes a Difference

The success of this event would not have been possible without the tremendous support of the SIG SAUER community.

The SIG SAUER Charitable Foundation provided critical support and resources that helped make this event a reality. In addition to hosting the match at the world-class SIG SAUER Academy facility, SIG SAUER contributed event support, firearms, and product donations that enhanced fundraising efforts and participant experiences throughout the weekend.

As our Founder and President, Chris Tessier, shared:

"Meaningful change happens when organizations come together with a shared commitment to service, connection, and community. Through the Foundation's generosity, we are able to expand our efforts to combat veteran suicide, foster camaraderie, and build lasting support networks for veterans and their families."

We are deeply grateful to the SIG SAUER Charitable Foundation, SIG SAUER ACADEMY, our sponsors, partner clubs, volunteers, match staff, and every competitor who chose to spend their weekend supporting this mission.

Why We Do This

Aiming For Zero was founded on a simple but powerful belief: no veteran should feel alone.

By creating opportunities for camaraderie, fostering meaningful relationships, raising awareness, and supporting organizations that provide hope, healing, and purpose, we continue working toward our vision of eliminating veteran suicide.

Events like the Charity Falling Steel Match demonstrate what is possible when people come together around a shared cause. Every registration, raffle ticket, sponsorship, volunteer hour, and donation contributes to something larger than a competition—it contributes to a stronger, more connected veteran community.

To everyone who participated, supported, volunteered, donated, or simply helped spread the word: thank you.

Together, we are building connections, strengthening communities, and moving closer to a future where every veteran knows they have a place to belong and people who care.

Living Our Mission

At Aiming For Zero, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and unwavering commitment to action. This event was a shining example of that mission in motion.
